To develop, test and promote methodological advances for the applied use of coded health information
IMECCHI is an international collaboration of health services researchers who aim to promote the methodological development and use of coded health information to promote quality of care and quality health policy decisions. The main focus of the Consortium is on methodological developments.
IMECCHI has the following enabling objectives:
- To collaborate internationally on methodological developments applied to coded health information.
- To collaborate on applying appropriate methods to coded health information, internationally (e.g., conducting comparative studies).
- To work in strategic alignment with key stakeholder organisations, notably the World Health Organization (Classification and Terminology Unit, WHO, Geneva and the (Patient Safety Initiative, OECD, Paris).
